Over the course of the week during my research, I came across the works of Karl Marx. Marx is the founder of communism, which is an idea that is unpopular in The United States. I was familiar with the works of Karl Marx earlier but I did not take interest in his ideals until this week. During the week I realized that communism could be mixed into the United States to further strengthening the socialist society to a more communist standpoint. The reason I say this is because it is important to hold up the greater good within our country. If the United States would start taxing the rich more and giving it to the poor population in the United States, the living standards for the poor would go up while the rich don’t lose much since they have an influx of capital. I also believe the interpretation of this idea should not be taken to extremes like North Korea. North Korea controls all aspects of Korean lives as well as income. Simply extracting capital from the top 5% of the country and redistributing it back to the poorer communities will have a better result socially than completely taking control of the income of the people.
