Interview skills are very important for employment in the future. During my time in ISM so far this year I have learned many helpful skills. Some of the skills I learned had to do with my resume and how I could make it more appealing to future employers. I was told to make my resume vague to make employers more curious about the specific details. Then they might move you on to the next stage where you can actually land an interview. I was also told about the various ways to display my skills on my resume. At first, I thought the skills bar was an efficient add-on but later learned that it was just away to tell employers I am not good at something which should be avoided. I also learned that a professional photo on a resume can be a deciding factor because it shows the brightness of your character and makes you more appealing in the interview process. I also learned how to make my professional website more attractive and organized. I was informed that I could create a new template on the front page of the website and it will show how connected I am to the research I am conducting.
