Steam Roller

This week was fairly hard due to a large sum of tests and quizzes, but because of this week and ISM, I gained something. First, my teacher explained how ISM was like a steam roller, and if you waited to do your work last minute then ISM would run you over. I thought about how this concept not only applies to school but how it applies to life as a whole. I usually do things last minute like cleaning my room, homework and making plans. I have learned that cleaning my room at the last minute does not make the room clean, it just moves the mess to somewhere it can not be seen. This is precisely why my room is always messy, but if I start cleaning it little by little every day it will not only be clean but it also won’t get dirty. I also do my homework last minute most nights which has significantly reduced the quality of my work. From now on I will reorganize my schedule so I can complete assignments in increments rather than doing it all at once. Making plans last minute has proven to be erroneous because the plans never seem to work and because of that I and my friends can not hang out as often. Setting plans ahead of time will guarantee more hangout time therefore more stress release time.
